Sumbawa Barat – Musim hujan seperti saat ini berbagai wabah penyakit menghantui masyarakat, salah satu penyakit yang perlu jadi perhatian yakni Demam Berdarah Dengue (DBD).

Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat (DPRD) melalui Wakil Ketua DPRD Merliza Jawas, S.Sos.I.,M.M meminta Dinas Kesehatan untuk memperkuat upaya pencegahan dan penanganan penyakit Demam Berdarah Dengue (DBD), khususnya di wilayah memiliki kasus endemik yang tinggi.

“DBD ini jadi kegelisahan masyarakat, karena setiap musim penghujan penyakit ini pasti datang. Bukan hanya sakit, bahkan menyebabkan kematian,” kata Merliza Jawas kepada wartawan.

Dikatakan Merliza, peningkatan kasus DBD selalu meningkat di musim hujan atau pancaroba. Karena itu, diharapkan pemerintah terus melakukan sosialisasi dan edukasi kepada warga untuk melakukan pencegahan terhadapnya.

“Kami berharap perhatian dari pemerintah melalui dinas terkait agar segera melakukan langkah-langkah seperti penyemprotan-penyemporotan terutama di daerah endemi. informasi terkini, tren kasus DBD naik hampir setiap bulan,” sebutnya

Karenanya, Merliza bilang alangkah baiknya pemerintah hadir, misalnya menyediakan alat – alat penyemprotan dan juga obat-obatan.

“ Saya kira ini perlu menjadi perhatian,” imbuh Politisi Dapil I Taliwang ini.(D1/*)
