Pakar: Mahfud Bisa Pulihkan Citra Peradilan yang Tercoreng Skandal MK

KMCNews – Pakar komunikasi politik Universitas Pelita Harapan (UPH) Emrus Sihombing meyakini calon wakil presiden (cawapres) Mahfud MD bakal membenahi beragam persoalan di bidang hukum. Jika memenangi Pilpres 2024, Emrus percaya Ganjar Pranowo bakal sepenuhnya mengandalkan Mahfud untuk mengembalikan kepercayaan publik terhadap lembaga peradilan.

“Ganjar punya political wil dalam bidang hukum. Saya pikir Ganjar akan memberi tugas-tugas itu kepada Mahfud MD. Hukum ini, pada era Jokowi, harus kita katakan sejujurnya semerawut,” kata Emrus dalam keterangan kepada wartawan, Senin (20/11/2023).

Mahfud saat ini masih menjabat sebagai Menteri Koordinator Politik, Hukum, dan Keamanan (Menko Polhukam). Sebelumnya, Mahfud juga pernah menjabat sebagai Ketua Mahkamah Konstitusi (MK) pada periode 2008–2013. Pada era Mahfud, MK punya citra yang sangat baik di mata publik.

Melihat rekam jejaknya, Emrus melihat Mahfud tak akan jadi ban serep atau sekadar kameo dalam pemerintahan. Di lain sisi, Ganjar bukan tipikal politikus ‘one man show’ yang senang menangani segala urusan sendirian. Itu terlihat dari sepak terjang Ganjar sejak menjadi anggota DPR dan Gubernur Jawa Tengah.

“Dia orang yang bekerja dalam tim. Dia sudah lakuan itu ketika di DPR dan jadi gubernur. Kedua, Ganjar memang bukan tipikal one man show. Tapi, ada juga presiden yang dia one man show yang tak memperhitungkan wakilnya,” kata Emrus.

Bakal besarnya peran Mahfud di pemerintahan, kata Emrus, juga tersirat dari pernyataan Ketua Umum PDI-Perjuangan Megawati Soekarnoputri. Saat mendeklarasikan pasangan Ganjar-Mahfud, Megawati sempat berpesan agar Mahfud membantu membenahi bidang hukum jika pasangan itu memenangi pilpres.

“Dia (Mahfud) harus diberi kewenangan sebagai wakil presiden mengkordinir dan menangani bidang hukum. Itu sebenarnya meringankan tugas presiden,” kata Emrus.

Belakangan, Mahfud memang kian rutin bicara soal lemahnya penegakan hukum di Indonesia. Dalam berbagai kesempatan, pendamping Ganjar Pranowo itu menyampaikan separuh persoalan bangsa bakal selesai jika hukum bisa dijalankan seadil-adilnya tanpa manipulasi.

“Kalau saudara ingin menyelamatkan bangsa, hukum harus ditegakkan dengan benar. 50% persoalan bangsa selesai. Tegakkan konstitusi, tegakkan hukum,” kata Mahfud dalam sebuah momen sosialisasi di Madura, Sabtu (18/11).

Mahfud juga sempat mengomentari pernyataan Ganjar soal rendahnya skor penegakan hukum di era Jokowi. Dalam sebuah diskusi di Universitas Gadjah Mada, belum lama ini, Ganjar memberikan skor lima dari skala 1-10 untuk rapor pemerintahan Jokowi di bidang penegakkan hukum.

Mahfud menyebut skor penegakan hukum mendadak anjlok pascaputusan Mahkamah Konstitusi (MK) nomor 90/PUU-XXI/2023, Oktober lalu. Putusan itu merevisi syarat usia bagi calon capres-cawapres yang tertuang dalam UU Pemilu.

Putusan itu membuka jalan bagi putra sulung Jokowi, Gibran Rakabuming Raka untuk mencalonkan diri sebagai cawapres Prabowo. Putusan tersebut diketok oleh Anwar Usman, Ketua MK saat itu. Anwar adalah besan Jokowi alias paman Gibran.

Emrus optimistis Mahfud bisa mengembalikan citra lembaga peradilan yang tercoreng putusan MK itu jika terpilih sebagai wapres nanti. “Apalagi kalau langsung digas jadi target 100 hari pertama. Sehingga setahun pertama jabatan mereka nanti menunjukan hasil yang luar biasa di bidang hukum,” ucap Emrus.(*)
