Sumbawa Barat – Sejumlah Atlet asal Sumbawa Barat yang akan berkompetisi di Pekan Olahraga Nasional (PON) di Sumatera Utara dan Aceh dikunjungi Ketua KONI Sumbawa Barat, Andi Laweng, S.H.,M.H.
Kunjungan ini dalam rangka melihat dari dekat kesiapan atlet asal KSB dalam mengikuti Pemusatan latihan sebelum tampil di PON.
Dalam kunjunganya Andi Laweng juga memberikan semangat dan motivasi bagi atlet agar dapat tampil percaya diri.
” Alhamdulillah semua atlet asal KSB yang akan mewakili NTB di PON dalam kondisi sehat dan siap berjuang menyumbang medali, kita optimis Cabor Tinju yang jadi andalan atlet asal KSB ini akan memberikan prestasi maksimal seperti pada PON sebelumnya,” ujar Andi Laweng.
Sebagai bentuk dukungan KONI KSB kepada atlet asal KSB yang mengikuti PON, Ketua KONI memberikan uang saku masing-masing sebesar Rp. 3 juta selama di pemusatan latihan.
Adapun atlet KSB yang tergabung dalam tim PON NTB yakni diantaranya ada Ainun Azizah dari Cabang Olahraga Tinju.
Khusus Cabor Tinju ini, NTB punya catatan bagus torehan medali dan rata rata petinju yang punya trend Sumbawa medali diantaranya ada dari Petinju KSB dibawah bendera Sasana Tinju Notorius.(*)
