Sebuah benda jika tidak digunakan sesuai dengan maksud yang menciptakannya, maka benda ini tidak berguna dan lama-lama akan rusak.

Begitu juga manusia, tidak ada gunanya dan akan rusak jika tidak sesuai dengan maksud penciptaan-nya.

Yang mengetahui maksud hidup manusia, bukanlah isterinya, anaknya, ayahnya, pemerintahnya dsb.

Mengapa ? karena mereka tidak mempunyai andil dalam penciptaan manusia.

Maksud hidup manusia adalah

1. Manusia diciptakan untuk ibadah

“Tidaklah aku ciptakan jin dan manusia, melainkan (hanya untuk) beribadah.” (QS. Adz Dzariyat : 56 )

2. Manusia untuk menjadi khalifah

“Sesungguhnya Aku akan menjadikan di muka bumi ini khalifah (manusia)” (QS. Al Baqarah : 30 )

3. Manusia untuk ber’amar ma’ruf nahi mungkar 

“Kalian adalah sebaik-baik ummat yang dikeluarkan untuk manusia, yaitu untuk ber’amar ma’ruf dan nahi mungkar dan beriman kepada Allah” (QS. Ali Imran : 110)

Jika manusia berhasil mewujudkan maksud hidupnya, maka akan dijadikan raja-raja di Jannah/Surga.

“Jika kamu melihat Jannah seolah-olah adalah kenikmatan dan kerajaan yang besar” (QS. Al Insan: 20).

Keperluan hidup manusia adalah :

1. Makan Minum

2. Rumah

3. Kendaraan

4. Pakaian

5. Pernikahan

Para sahabat Nabi keperluannya rendah tetapi maksud hidup tinggi. Sementara kita memiliki keperluan tinggi tetapi maksud hidupnya rendah.

Keseharian kita hanya memikirkan bagaimana mendapatkan keperluan, tetapi para sahabat berpikir untuk selalu mengorbankan keperluan untuk mendapatkan maksud hidup.

Perbedaan orang beriman dengan orang munafik dalam menggunakan keperluan dan maksud hidup adalah :

1. MAKAN MINUM

Orang kafir :

Makan dan minum untuk kesehatan dan kekuatan sebagaimana kaum A’ad sehingga mereka berkata : “Siapakah yang lebih kuat daripada Kami ……?”(QS. Fushsihlat: 15)

Orang beriman :

Makan Minum untuk beribadah agar bisa berdiri shalat dan mengerjakan ibadah lainnya. Jika makan dengan cara adab sunnah Rasulullah SAW maka akan diberi pahala oleh Allah SWT.

Makan Minum untuk Khalifah adalah agar bisa berkhidmat kepada sesama. Nabi SAW bersabda, “jika kalian mengangkat beban saudaramu ke punggung kudanya, maka akan dihitung sedekah, jika kalian mengisi ember saudaramu dengan air maka dihitung sedekah”

Makan Minum untuk dakwah, suatu jamaah diantar ke suatu rumah di Pakistan maka dihidangkan kepadanya air yang rasanya asin. Karena jamaah berniat dakwah maka Amir(sebutan untuk pemimpin jamaah) mengatakan, “Habiskan air asin tadi”.

Setelah jamaah pulang isteri pemilik rumah terlihat pucat, suaminya bertanya, “ada apa?”

Isterinya berkata, ”Aku salah memasukkan gula ternyata aku memasukkan garam ke air minum mereka, bagaimana keadaan mereka?”

Suaminya berkata. ”Tidak masalah, mereka biasa saja bahkan tampak senang.”

Isterinya berkata, ”kalau begitu bapak harus ikut mereka karena mereka bukan orang biasa tetapi seperti malaikat yang berjalan-jalan di bumi.”

2. PAKAIAN

Orang kafir :

tujuan menggunakan pakaiannya seperti burung merak yaitu untuk menarik lawan jenis dan untuk dipuji-puji.

Orang beriman :

Untuk Ibadah yaitu menutup aurat karena malu kepada Allah.

Untuk Khalifah yaitu untuk melayani umat sebagaimana kisah Hasan r.a cucu Nabi SAW. Beliau memakai pakaian mahal sehingga seorang Yahudi datang kepadanya dan berkata, “Ya Hasan, benarkah engkau cucu Rasulullah ?”

Hasan r.a. menjawab,”Ya, Kenapa ?”

Kata si Yahudi, “mengapa engkau menyelisihi kakekmu dengan berpakaian mewah padahal dunia adalah penjara bagimu dan surga bagi orang kafir?”. Si Yahudi melanjutkan, “kini kau lihat, aku berpakaian compang camping sementara kamu seperti di Surga?”

Hasan r.a. berkata,”Wahai Yahudi, seandainya kamu tahu pakaian apa yang akan kamu dapatkan di neraka, niscaya kamu akan memakai pakaian paling mewah di dunia ini karena tak merasakan lagi di akhirat. Aku memakai pakaian bagus ini agar orang miskin tahu kalau aku orang kaya agar mereka tak sungkan-sungkan meminta sedekah kepadaku.”

Untuk Dakwah, dengan pakaian yang digunakan orang akan mendapat hidayah dan ingat kepada Allah. Itulah sebabnya orang beriman mencontoh pakaian Rasulullah SAW dan para sahabat.

3. RUMAH

Orang kafir :

Rumah untuk kesombongan dan fungsinya hanya untuk restoran (untuk tempat makan keluarga), hotel (tempat tidur/istirahat) , WC (tempat buang air), gallery (tempat menyimpan barang-barang mewah), bioskop mini (tempat nonton TV keluarga), gedung pertemuan keluarga.

Orang beriman:

Untuk ibadah, Nabi SAW bersabda,”Shalatlah kamu (shalat sunnah) di sudut-sudut rumah kamu niscaya rumah kamu akan dipandang oleh penduduk langit bercahaya sebagimana kamu memandang bintang-bintang di langit.”

Untuk Khalifah, yaitu melayani ummat sebagaimana hadits yang menunjukkan bahwa hak tamu untuk dilayani adalah tiga hari, setelah hari ketiga maka dihitung sedekah.

Untuk Dakwah, yaitu bagaimana orang masuk ke rumah kita mendapat hidayah sebagaimana rumahnya Fatimah binti Khaththab. Umar bin Khaththab masuk ke rumahnya langsung mendapat hidayah, mengapa ? karena di dalam rumah hidup amalan masjid yaitu dakwah, ta’lim, ibadah dan khidmat.

4. KENDARAAN

Orang kafir :

Menggunakan kendaraan hanya untuk menyelesaikan urusan dunia saja, juga sebagai kesombongan dan status sosial.

Orang beriman :

Untuk Ibadah, seperti dipakai untuk pergi ke Masjid, silahturahmi dll.

Untuk Khalifah, yaitu untuk melayani saudara muslimnya, dipinjamkan untuk hajat muslimin

Untuk Dakwah, yaitu untuk berjuang di Jalan Allah. Nabi SAW bersabda, “seseorang yang memelihara kuda untuk digunakan jihad maka semua makanan, kotoran dan kencingnya dihitung sebagai kebaikan oleh Allah SWT”

Nabi SAW juga bersabda,”ada tiga hasil orang memiliki kendaraan, yaitu (1) orang yang mendapatkan Surga dari kendaraannya karena digunakan di jalan Allah SWT. (2) mendapat neraka karena dipakai untuk bermaksiat kepada Allah. (3) tidak memperoleh apa-apa di Akhirat karena hanya digunakan untuk keperluan dunia semata.”

5. PERNIKAHAN

Orang kafir :

Pernikahan mereka hanya untuk menyempurnakan nafsu saja dan mendapatkan keturunan.

Orang beriman :

Untuk Ibadah, sesuai sabda Nabi SAW, “orang yang sudah menikah shalat 2 rakaatnya lebih baik dari pada 70 rakaat orang yang belum menikah.”

Untuk Khalifah, yaitu dengan memiliki isteri kita bisa berkhidmat kepada tetangga sebagaimana hadis,”jika kamu masak, perbanyaklah kuahnya dan kirimkan kepada tetangga kamu.”

Untuk Dakwah, yaitu wanita/isteri dapat berdakwah sampai ke dapur-dapur tetangga kita, sedangkan laki-laki hanya sampai depan pintu saja. Kewajiban dakwah termasuk untuk wanita. Do’a-do’a wanita dalam dakwah sangatlah hebat melebihi do’a 70 wali Allah.
